Here it is, the report you all have been waiting for (or at least a little text to accompany some pictures)!
We left Robert's Marketplace around noon with 3 vehicles, Andrew in the White ZJ, Bethany in the Tank (Plymouth Trail Duster), and Brian in the Silver Bullet (Toyota 4Runner). I was pleasantly surprised to see Bethany driving separately for her first run out. As we said, a new driver, new rig, and a new trail makes a scary combination, but she handled it like a pro!
We left through Coyote Springs and Poquito Valley to the lower portion of Smiley Rock Trail (also know as Great Western Trail or Wood-chute Canyon). Aside form seeing some Tennessee sized dust-devils, and a few very testy bulls protecting the cows and calves, we had a fairly uneventful trip to the trail.
After entering the narrow and overgrown trail entrance, we climbed to the lower bowl featuring the hill climb for a group shot and so SilverBullet could climb the hill.

Andrew carefully weaving through the trail!

As stated from Andrew: "Sadly enough it was MY rig that got stuck in the puddle!!! After being told throughout the second half of the trail to NOT give too much throttle, cause I kept drowning it out, I wussed out and tried creeping through the puddle. Yeah, not the smartest idea with all-terrains and a 4wd gearbox that keeps popping out of place. All-in-all I had fun!

Heading Home!
